The total solution of esthetic implantology for the ultimate goal

An advanced treatment strategy is required to achieve an esthetic outcome through implant therapy for the missing anterior tooth situation. Especially in the multiple implant case in which there is a significant loss of teeth and tissues. It is not easy to achieve the optimal result while also carefully considering the minimal invasive on the patient, so a highly effective treatment is required.

In the case of both implant-pontic and implant-implant, in other words cases of multiple missing teeth, the vertical bone height in the proximal area is suggested to be 2 to 3 mm or more coronal to the implant platform - this is the sufficient volume.

In many cases, connective tissue grafts are required to compensate for decreased soft tissue profile.

At the same time, we need to be aware of the biologic limitation induced by loss of blood supply from the periodontal ligament, for this we had better consider one of the proper   prosthetic procedures in order to avoid marginal bone loss around the implants caused by prosthetic invasiveness.

One of the significant factors in developing the papilla around the implants after the prosthetic procedure is to maintain the biologic width.

In this part, I would like to share with you one possible suitable solution for the esthetic outcomes through the references and single and multiple cases, finally show you a very complex full mouth rehabilitation case applied multiple implants in the esthetic zone.

 

Clinical therapeutic effects of full mouth rehabilitation applied an interdisciplinary treatment approach

There are many adult patients who have irregular occlusions that can be presumed to be caused by acquired bad habits, iatrogenic factors in our daily clinical practice, sometimes they may have greatly invaded to teeth-periodontal tissue.

Starting from an esthetic point of view including the patient's dent-labial, dent-facial analysis when we performing radical full mouth rehabilitation for such them, therefore the goal should achieve the reproducible occlusal position from the centric position. 

On the process of that, the main goals are to improve severe periodontitis and restore stable occlusal support and provide appropriate anterior guidance, preserve natural teeth as much as possible, however sometimes we are able to provide to better conditions if we apply not only with orthodontic treatment but also with prosthodontic intervention. 

In this part, I would like to share with you the point of view of the interdisciplinary approaches with orthodontist and dental technician in our practice through limited and full mouth rehabilitation.
